Description

Built with dual 2.5GbE connectivity, a 2 GHz quad-core processor, AES-NI hardware encryption, and support for up to two 2.5" or 3.5" SATA III drives, the TS-253D 2-Bay NAS Enclosure from QNAP adds to your network storage capacity for daily backups, media serving, and file library archiving. The TS-253D supports up to 800 concurrent connections and includes an HDMI 2.0 port with real-time 4K transcoding to share 4096 x 2160 resolution videos to connected devices at 60 Hz. This NAS has a sequential file download speed of up to 295 MB/s and an upload speed and a 293 MB/s over a single 2.5GbE connection. Using both 2.5GbE ports boosts download and upload performance to 588 MB/s and 507 MB/s respectively.

Expand the TS-253D's capabilities using its PCIe 2.0 x4 slot, which allows you to install a 5GbE or 10GbE Ethernet adapter, a compatible M.2 solid-state drive for cache acceleration, or a 10 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2 port. An optional 10GbE card maxes out download speeds at 983 MB/s with upload speeds of 512 MB/s. Adding an SSD for cache acceleration helps to optimize performance for data-intensive applications.

The TS-253D includes a 2.0 GHz Intel Celeron J4125 quad-core processor with 4GB of DDR4 memory and 4GB of flash storage to quickly run installed applications using the QTS 4.4.2 operating system. Drives can be configured in RAID 0, 1, JBOD, and Single mode. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and three USB 2.0 Type-A ports are included, allowing you to connect compatible peripherals such as external storage drives to share across the network. A 70mm fan helps to keep the enclosure operating at optimal temperatures.

Network Storage

You can install up to two 3.5" or 2.5" SATA III 6 Gb/s drives into the TS-253D, set to RAID 0, 1, JBOD, or Single configuration. Backup your data, share media across your network, and archive your file library. Your data is secured by an AES-NI encryption engine that is designed to maintain performance while keeping your data safe. Installing an optional solid-state acceleration cache helps to maximize performance for data-intensive applications.

Featuring a 2.0 GHz Intel Celeron J4125 quad-core processor with up to 2.7 GHz burst speeds and 4GB of DDR4 memory, the TS-253D can load a variety of QNAP QTS applications while managing up to 800 concurrent connections.
Windows and Mac Backup

Use the license-free QNAP NetBak Replicator utility to back up and restore files from Windows computers. Apple's Time Machine is supported for backing up Mac computers.

The TS-253D also can stream videos through DLNA, Chromecast, and more to satisfy versatile multimedia application needs.
